the self-registration option may not be available. For more information,
contact your WebCT administrator.

Allowing self-registration |

WebCT gives you the option of allowing students the ability to create
their own accounts to access your course.
- From the Control Panel, click Course
Settings. The Course Settings screen
appears.
- Under Create/Edit Welcome Page, click
Edit welcome page. The Create/Edit
Welcome Page screen appears.
- Under Options: Other, click Set
up self-registration. The Set Up Self-registration
screen appears.
- Select Allow self-registration and click
Update. The Welcome
Page appears with a Create Account
button.
Disallowing self-registration

- From the Control Panel, click Course
Settings. The Course Settings screen
appears.
- Under Create/Edit Welcome Page, click
Edit welcome page. The Create/Edit
Welcome Page screen appears.
- Under Options: Other, click Set
up self-registration. The Set Up
Self-registration screen appears.
- Select Do not allow self-registration
and click Update. The Welcome
Page appears and the Create Account
button is removed.

The following set of instructions is written from the perspective of
the student who wants to self-register in a course.
If you configure your course to allow self-registration, a self-registration
link appears on the Course List screen as
a registration icon, and on the Welcome Page
as a Create Account button.
Self-registering from the Course List screen:
- From the Entry Page,
click See courses.
The Course List
screen appears displaying the courses for the selected category.
- In the Course List, locate the course,
and then in the Self-Registration column,
click the icon. The Self-Registration
screen appears.
- Click Log in to
myWebCT. You may be required to enter additional information.
Complete the required fields and click Continue.
The Course Added screen appears confirming
the registration.
- Choose an option:
- To enter the course in which you just registered, click Go
to course. The course Homepage
appears.
- To self-register in another course, click Add
another course. The Course List
screen appears.
- Click Return to myWebCT.
The myWebCT
screen appears.
Self-registering from the Welcome Page:
- From the Entry Page,
click See courses.
The Course List screen
appears displaying the courses for the selected category.
- Under Course, locate the course in which
you want to register, and then in the Course Information
column, click the icon. The Welcome Page
appears.
- Click Create Account. The Self-Registration
screen appears.
- Click Log in to
myWebCT. You may be required to enter additional information.
Complete the required fields and click Continue.
The Course Added screen appears confirming
the registration.
- Choose an option:
- To enter the course in which you just registered, click Go

- To self-register in another course, click Add
