Adding or modifying a banner image

You can add or modify a banner image for the Welcome Page. Note: Images must be in .gif or .jpg format. The image may either be selected from the WebCT-Files folder or uploaded from your computer to your My-Files folder. For information on uploading files to your My-Files folder, see Uploading Files.

1. From the Control Panel, click Course Settings. The Course Settings screen appears.
2. Under Create/Edit Welcome Page, click Edit welcome page. The Create/Edit Welcome Page screen appears.
3. Under Customize, click Modify/Add banner image. The Modify/Add Banner Image for Page screen appears.
4. Under Banner options, select one of the following:
   • To add or modify a banner image from a file:
     1. Select Use file.
     2. In the text box, enter the path and filename of the image file, or to select the file, click Browse. For more information, see WebCT Browser.
        
• To add personalized text to the banner, or to edit existing text:
  1. Select Use text.
  2. In the text box, enter the text.
• To use the course title as the text, select Use default text.
• To leave the banner empty, select None.
5. Under Banner alignment, select Left or Center.
6. Click Update. The Create/Edit Welcome Page screen appears and the Welcome Page banner image is updated.
7. To preview your changes, click Preview welcome page.
