Displaying the Equation Editor

WebEQ Equation Editor is a third-party tool that you and your students can use within WebCT to create, save, and view complex equations. It consists of an Equation Editor and a Equation Viewer. The WebEQ Equation Editor is available from within several tools, including Content Module, Discussions, Mail, and Quiz.

You can either show or hide the WebEQ Equation Editor interface for your course. Note: Depending on administrator settings, this option may not be available.

1. From the Control Panel, click Course Settings. The Course Settings screen appears.
2. Under Equation Editor, select from the following:
   • Show equation editor interfaces throughout the course.
   • Hide equation editor interfaces throughout the course.
3. Click Update. The Course Settings screen refreshes.

To improve response time when using the WebEQ Equation Editor, WebCT recommends that you and your students download WebEQ Editor and Viewer from WebCT's download area: http://www.webct.com/equation.
