Setting Designer Links

Designer links are a set of five links which you can choose to show or hide on the Course Menu. These links, which help you set up and manage your course, are the same links that appear on the Basic Control Panel. They are: Add Page or Tool, Edit Page or Tool, Manage Files, Manage Course, and Course Settings.

If you are an experienced WebCT user, instead of using the Control Panel, it may be more convenient for you to use the designer links on the Course Menu.

Note:

• If you choose to Show designer links, the links will only appear on the Course Menu when you are in designer view.
• If you collapse the Course Menu, the designer links will appear as options in the Course Menu drop-down list.

1. From the Control Panel, click Course Settings. The Course Settings screen appears.
2. Next to Designer links, select whether you want to show or hide the designer links on the Course Menu.
3. Click Update. The Course Settings screen refreshes and the setting is updated.
