Changing the background image | Top

Setting the background image here does not set the background image for any screen in particular, rather it sets the course default background image. The course default background image is a setting that can be accessed from all areas of the course where a background image can be set.

Images must be saved as .gif or .jpg. This image file may either be selected from the WebCT-Files folder, or uploaded from your computer to your My-Files folder. For information on uploading files to your My-Files folder, see Manage Files.

1. From the Control Panel, click Course Settings. The Course Settings screen appears.
2. Under Customize Course Appearance, click Modify/Add background image. The Modify/Add Background Image screen appears.
3. Select or modify the background option:
   • To select a background image:
   1. Select Use file.
   2. In the Filename text box, enter the path and filename of the image, or to select the file, click Browse. For more information, see WebCT Browser.
   • To use no background image, select None.
4. To make this selection the course default, click Update. The Homepage appears.
