The Private Mail tool allows you to send private messages to students and your instructor. Homework assignments, course projects and term papers are often sent to the instructor as private mail attachments.

The Chat tool allows you to take part in real-time conversations with other users. Chat sessions occur at pre-scheduled times. To see if there are mandatory chat sessions for your course, be sure to check individual course requirements by clicking on the More Info. button from the Course Listing.
