Students are required to engage in the following interaction(s) for successful completion of this course:
The weekly syllabus will be structured around 5 major writing projects: 3 short essays, one longer research paper, and the course final. The general cycle of each paper unit will be: intro to the paper assignment, read, discuss/response to the corresponding chapters from the text, then drafting, peer reviewing, and revising each paper. Final drafts will be due approximately 2-3 weeks after the paper assignment is posted. Each paper unit will consist of mandatory process work, including topic proposals, draft postings and responding to classmates' drafts to be completed and submitted/posted by the designated due date. Please note that interaction and "attendence" is a foundation of this course, and that this course is NOTself-paced.
