Through outline chats, bulletin postings and readings, the primary course objectives to familiarize the student with the concepts of the correctional system. Concepts used in this course will examine correctional issues. Students completing this course will have an understanding of Corrections in both theory and practice.
 
 

Reading Assignments, Tutorials from Course Text- Posted Online, Mandatory Class Discussions held on WebCT Bulletin Boards, Chat sessions, Online Quizzes, Course papers & Projects, Homework assignments sent as e-mail and Online WWW Activities.
 
 

Class Participation: Students must participate in weekly online discussions and complete homework assignments, pass 4 tests, write 3 papers. Failure to participate will result in a grade of F*. Test & Papers will account for 90% of your grade. Each of them will be 1/7 of 90%. Class participation and weekly homework will account for 10%.
 
 

Distance learning does not mean, "no deadlines". Late assignments, papers and exams will not be accepted, and you will receive a grade of "Zero" (0) for that assignment!
