General Information

Before registering for an online learning course at Holyoke Community College, please review the individual course requirements by clicking on the "More Info" button for the corresponding course at Course Offerings .

If you would like to register for an online distance learning course, please go to "General Information" on the left and choose "Registrations Forms" from the pop-up menu and follow the directions.

You may purchase your text books online at the HCC Bookstore.

Online learning courses at HCC follow an academic semester calendar. Please review the calendars on the E-Institute homepage.


Online Learning Information

  1. All courses require a textbook. Some courses require an "access code". Be sure to carefully read the textbook listing in the bookstore.
  2. Each Online Learning course will have specific requirements regarding testing dates, times and locations, discussion groups, etc. that students should review prior to registration. Online Learning is NOT Self-Paced!
  3. An Online Learning course begins and ends on a defined schedule. Students should be prepared to "attend" class on the first day of the semester but no later than Thursday of the first week.

  4. Students having questions about the course content should e-mail the instructor PRIOR to registration.
