When I click on a document, I don't get a choice to download or save. Why?

The reason is that Internet Explorer’s security settings need to be changed.  To make these changes, do the following:  

1.    Open Internet Explorer

2.    At the top of the browser window, click Tools and choose Internet Options…


3.    Next, click the Security Tab…



4.    Click Internet to highlight it and then click the Custom Level Button.  The following window will appear…


5.    Scroll down the section on Downloads; make sure to enable all three by clicking the radio button as seen in the following screen.  Click OK when your finished.


6.  Once back at the Internet Options dialog box, click OK again.  You must now close out Internet Explorer and reopen to allow the changes to take effect.  You should now be prompted to Open or Save any file that you attempt to open in your WebCT class.
