Error: The filename contains an invalid character.

This error may occur when you are trying to upload a file into WebCT as an attachment to a Discussions message or a Mail message, or when trying to submit a file using the Assignment or a Student Presentation tools. This is almost always the result of including a blank space into the name of the file you are trying to get into WebCT.

For example, a file named homework 1.doc will not upload into WebCT because there is a blank space between the k and the 1. Rename the file so that the blank space is omitted or substituted with an underscore and try again (homework_1).
