Is my computer able to handle WebCT courses?

The minimum system requirements for using WebCT 4 as a student or designer are the following:

PC Platform:

Pentium III or greater
Windows 2000/XP - Windows 98 is no longer supported, even by Microsoft
256 MB RAM minimum
CD ROM Drive
Sound Card
5.5 or higher browser (Preferably IE)
DSL or Broadband connection with email address

MAC Platform:

Power Mac or iMac
OS 9.x or higher
256 MB RAM minimum
CD ROM Drive
Sound Card & Speakers
5.0 or higher browser
(Internet Explorer 5.5 recommended)
DSL or Broadband connection with email address

A system with these minimum requirements will be able to access WebCT, but courses which include multimedia components and third party software may require higher standards.

Please note: MAC’s are not supported by the DL helpdesk. The above requirements are MINIMUM. It is recommended that you have the latest technology in order to get the most out of your online experience.
